-Work with the Master Binder to learn each of the areas of bindery
-Learn the safest way to perform these duties in an active work environment
-Recycling of stock and Waste Management
-Job site preparation and clean up
-Small Format Finishing
-Sorting
-Folding
-Packaging
-Shrink Wrapping
-Train on each of the Bindery Stations(Tools)
-Folding Machine
-Setup and prep for different folding jobs
-running a paper stock thru the folder
-Quality Control of the finished product during and after completion
-Drill
-Setup and prep for the variety of drilling jobs for ring binding
-Clean up
-Scoring and Perforation machine
-Setup and management
-Learn the system of measurement for the 100s of folds
-Learn the system of measurement for the 100s of perforations
-Learn to determine best practices for using this machine
-Quality Control of the finished product during and after completion
-Laminator(Mostly a Large Format Application)
-Learn webbing and unwebbing media for the laminator
-Learn which media is used for what applications
-Learn the parameters of the machines capabilities
-Hand Cutting(Mostly a Large Format Application)
-Using a straight edge and Razor knife
-Using the Javelin table cutter
-Using the Fletcher 3100 Wall Trimmer
-Using a Rolling cutter
-Hydraulic Cutter
-Learn the abilities of the cutter and it's safety requirements
-Learn the measurement to determine cutting methods
-Learn to understand and devise workflow patterns that make the
-most efficient use of this machine
-Learn to cut different media and what types of limitations the machine has.
-Learn basic blade maintenance and upkeep
